How can we help?

Most answers are below. For everything else: support@worthspreading.com — a human reads it.

Questions, answered plainly

What stays free if I stop paying?

Your cookbook is never hostage. Reading and searching everything you saved, cook mode and timers, typing new recipes in by hand, browsing the community cookbook, and full export stay free forever. If a subscription lapses mid-week, the shopping list you already started finishes too. A lapsed household lapses together — nobody’s dinner gets locked.

How does the 14-day trial work?

No card, no store subscription — the trial starts when you save your first recipe and simply ends 14 days later. Because it isn’t a store trial, it can never convert into a surprise charge. When it ends, the free essentials stay and Premium becomes a choice.

How do banked free months work?

A free month of Premium for every recipe we publish — banked to your account, and used up before you’re ever charged again. They never expire, you can earn up to 6 a year, and they’re whole months of access rather than a skip of a payment Apple or Google already scheduled — so if you have an active store subscription, pause it to let banked months run.

Who can share a recipe to the community cookbook?

Only keepers cooked at least twice can be shared — the shelf holds recipes people actually make. A person reads every submission for clarity and safety before it’s published, under the name you choose (or “A home kitchen” if you’d rather not be named), licensed CC BY 4.0 so it’s everyone’s to keep. The details are in the terms, §4.

What does the AI see?

Only what the request needs: the photo, link text, or dictation you’re capturing, or — for Sous — your cookbook and the community collection. Processing runs through our EU servers on Google’s paid Gemini tier, so nothing is used to train shared models, and nothing saves until you’ve confirmed it. Sous can be wrong — trust your taste.

Why do you ask for my email?

Your email is a key, not a channel. The app starts anonymously; you only sign in (passwordless link, no password to remember) to subscribe, join a household, or add a device — and we use the address to open your cookbook, not to send you things.

How does the household work?

Up to five people share one cookbook, one week plan, and one shopping list — each on their own phone. One Premium subscription covers everyone: the entitlement lives on the household, not on a single device. If it lapses, the household lapses together, and the free essentials stay for all of you.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions live with the store: iPhone — Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Android — Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions. The app’s Settings → Manage subscription takes you straight there. Cancelling keeps access until the period ends, and your cookbook stays.

How do I get my recipes out?

Settings → Export gives you everything — JSON, printable PDFs, and your photos — shareable anywhere. Export is part of the free floor, forever, and we offer it automatically before account deletion.

Does it work on my watch? On the web?

Yes to both. Apple Watch and Wear OS companions carry timers, the next step, one-hand shopping check-off, and the keeper question. The web app at makeitagain.worthspreading.com is the comfortable place to plan the week — one login, everything in sync.

Which languages?

Twelve: English, Spanish, German, Dutch, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil & Portugal), Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Hindi. The app follows your phone’s language, and every community recipe is translated into all twelve.

Manage or cancel your subscription

iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Make It Again. Refunds: reportaproblem.apple.com.

Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Make It Again.

In the app, Settings → Manage subscription jumps straight there. Cancelling keeps access until the period ends — and the free essentials stay after that.

Delete your account & data

In the app: Settings → Delete account. Recipes, photos, notes, cook log, plans, lists, purchase record, and the account itself are erased from our servers. We offer a full export first — take your cookbook with you.

No app access anymore? Email support@worthspreading.com from your account email and we’ll do it for you.
